MS, Registered Behavior Technician
Taylor Smith graduated from Meredith College in 2012 after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. While in school, she worked at Meredith College's Early Intervention ABA program where she was educated on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and provided 1:1 instruction for children with autism in clinic, home and school settings. In 2014, Taylor completed her Master’s degree of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. After receiving her Master’s degree, she obtained her certification as a Registered Behavior Technician. Taylor is certified in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and highly trained in Verbal Behavior (VB), social skills instruction, Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Picture Communication Systems (PCS), augmentative communication methods, and Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI). Her favorite part of working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis is seeing the positive impact that ABA has on each client and family, such as day-to-day improvements in goals in the child’s program. The most rewarding experience Taylor has ever had in this field is when a client was able to independently go to preschool without her providing one on one support!
