MA, Registered Behavior Technician
Ashley Brightwell has been working in the field of behavior analysis for the past several years. In June 2013, Ashley graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Penn State Erie. In May 2015, Ashley graduated with a Master of Arts degree in applied behavior analysis with a concentration in autism from Ball State University. Ashley has worked in schools, clinics, and home settings implementing ABA therapy in one on one settings and group settings. She previously worked at the University of Pennsylvania conducting research on preschool placements for children with autism. Ashley is an expert in working with older adolescents and young adults to improve their independence in daily living skills and vocational skills! She is trained in Verbal Behavior (VB), social skills instruction, Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Picture Communication Systems (PCS), augmentative communication systems, and Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI). In the next few months Ashley is going to be sitting for the BCBA exam to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst! Ashley loves working in this field because she can watch students grow and progress right before her eyes and every day is a new adventure. Her most rewarding experience in this field was watching her first student walk across the stage at graduation and accept her certificate of completion!
